Are you buying a house or a lifestyle?

A home can take many shapes – different sizes, styles, and comforts. But when you’re looking for a home abroad, it’s not just about four walls and a roof – you’re investing in a whole new way of living.

There’s a lot to consider: How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need? Is having a garage or extra space for guests important, or would you prefer a garden or private terrace to soak up the sun? But just as crucial as these practical details is thinking about the kind of lifestyle you want. What does your dream day-to-day life look like?

How will you use your home?

Are you looking for a getaway spot to escape to every now and then, or a vacation home where you can create memories with family? Maybe you’re planning to spend longer periods there – or even move permanently.

Would you like a city apartment for easy weekend trips or a coastal home with that perfect holiday vibe? Perhaps you’re imagining a place to welcome children and grandchildren. Whether you’re a traveler, an expat, or just someone craving a fresh start, it’s worth asking these questions. And we’re here to help you find the right fit.

Balancing home and lifestyle

Choosing a home isn’t just about the amenities – it’s about finding a place that truly fits your lifestyle, and that’s where we can help!

If family time is your top priority, you might be looking for a larger home with space for everyone, where your family can stay with you or visit often. In that case, it’s smart to consider proximity to schools and activities for all ages. The southwest part of Mallorca could be a great choice, with international schools and plenty of fun activities for both adults and kids.

Are you into sports and staying active? Then being close to gyms, sports facilities, or outdoor activities might be key for you.

If you’re more of a nature lover who enjoys hiking or cycling, central or northern Mallorca is definitely for you. Here, you’ll find the Serra de Tramuntana, a paradise for outdoor adventures. Charlotte, who lives in Sóller up north, can’t imagine a better place to live:
“Port de Sóller and Sóller are my favorite spots on Mallorca! The Tramuntana coast is absolutely magical – in the summer, we often take the boat out to explore the coastline!”

More into golf? Then Santa Ponça is the perfect spot, known for its excellent golf courses.

And if you’re looking for a lifestyle that mixes the buzz of city life, a social vibe, and easy access to the beach, Palma is the place to be. Our agent Josephine, who recently moved from northwest Mallorca to Santa Catalina, shares:
“I have everything close by! My neighborhood is charming and full of cafés, bars, and restaurants. If I want to go to Palma city, it’s just a short walk, and the coast is a quick bus or car ride away. And I love being able to work out at Palma Tennis Club and walk home in just a few minutes!”

Wherever you choose to live in Mallorca, you’re always near the sea. But each coastal town has its own unique charm – are you looking for a more family-friendly environment, or do you prefer a lively, urban vibe?

Think about why you want to move

It’s not just about the features of the house – it’s a decision that deserves some thought. By considering the lifestyle you want and what’s most important to you, your new home will feel like an even better fit.
