Mallorca’s mild climate is optimal for outdoor training all year round and because of Covid, people prefer to train outside. The options are many, especially as the training industry is always in constant development. New training trends are establishing themselves, especially now that we have had to completely change our training habits due to the pandemic. Of course, paddle is very popular here on the island and Mallorca has many fantastic paddle courts. But this Mediterranean gem offers also a versatile wellness industry and many different types of yoga. In addition, personal training continues to dominate and gain even more ground as many gyms have had to close or change their concept. We want to decide where, when and how we want to work out. Flexibility and quality is extra important in our stressful everyday lives. Start the new year with healthy habits and establish a routine, but do it correctly and with the help of an expert. Take the step and treat yourself to a few weeks of training with a personal trainer. You get such an incredible kick and perform that little extra that is difficult to achieve when you work out on your own. There is so much to choose from in Mallorca, but here are some tips on different trainers and yoga teachers outdoors that we highly recommend.
Yoga del Mar: Yoga & Meditation with sea view, fresh island breeze and the sound of the waves
Yoga del Mar was founded by Yasmin and Nina-Gyana. They wanted to offer a place that feels like home, where you don’t only do Yoga, but experience Yoga and find love in every detail. It’s also the first Yoga Studio in Portixol, that’s right by the sea. Yasmin grew up in Mallorca. She practices Yoga from a young age and life has taken her to live in South Africa, Tanzania and Costa Rica. She is a mother of three and a forever student of Yoga & life. Nina-Gyanas journey has led her to Bali, Australia and an Ashram in India where she learned from great teachers. Both Yasmin and Nina are certified Yoga & Meditation teachers.
Yoga del Mar offers Yoga & Meditation with a sea view, fresh island breeze and to the sound of the waves. You can walk or cycle along the boardwalk to your class, jump right into the sea before or after a session or freshen up in the studio showers. Every yoga practice is finished off with a fresh organic lemonade, smoothie and fruits.
Yoga del Mar is a place that has a holistic approach for body, mind and soul. They offer nurturing massage, a healing session, or the Yoga del Mar experience combining a personal Yoga session with a massage treatment. Their vision is to be more than just a Yoga Studio, to become a Lifestyle which stands for creativity, a like minded community that shares its love for this island and the ocean. They offer a variety of classes that are run daily at 9:45 and again 18.30, with the duration of 75 minutes. They have outdoor yoga classes that run whenever weather permits it, the classes are done on a yoga platform. It’s important to register before joining a class and you can do so by looking at the schedule where you also can register; yogadelmar.es
