An extraordinary fish and seafood restaurant

La Parada Del Mar is a cross between a fishmongers and café. It is a a place where the dining experience of
fish or seafood is different. Before you sit down at your table you pick your freshly caught selection from the large counter.

You select and create your own dish as there is no set menu. The dishes have fantastic value as you pay by the weight. While you relax and order your drink, they cook your meal. Grilled or fried with some lemon on the side, simply delicious.

The restaurant is located close to the popular area Cala Major and near to the Joan Miró Museum and opposite to Marivent, the summer residence of the Spanish king Juan Carlos.

Palma offers the best beer in the world

Thanks to the festival ‘Beer Palma’ can islanders and tourists enjoy over 160 varieties of the best beers from all over the world. The festival is held in the Parc de la Mer in front of the Cathedral in Palma.
All stands serve the same amount per unit, 33 cl. and you can also enjoy delicious tapas from local restaurants. The yearly Orange Festival in Sóller, Fira I Jornada de Sa Taronja, takes place in the beginning of June. The oranges have been called yellow gold because the revenues of the produce has helped to build, develop and expand the town and the surrounding areas. Historically known for producing some of the best oranges due to the specific microclimate of the area and the fertility of the soil, the festival showcases the orange as the reason for the areas prosperity at the turn of the last century.

Restaurants and hotels of the area take part offering culinary specialties around the celebrated fruit from starters to desserts and drinks. Tasting menus, ranging from 20 to 25 Euro, have been created to invite visitors to the beautiful valley. There is often a special package on offer which includes the journey by train from and to Palma and by tram from and to the Port of Sóller.
